D.A.T.E.

Prevention Program

Too Good For Drugs is our prevention program for Grades K-8. It is designed to reduce risk factors and enhance protective factors related to use of alcohol tobacco and other drugs (ATOD). The program has separate developmentally appropriate curriculum for each grade level.

PROJECT T.N.D. (PROJECT TOWARDS NO DRUG ABUSE) is our drug prevention program for Grades 9-12. The instruction to students provides detailed information about the social and health consequences of drug us and addresses topics including instruction in active listening, effective communication skills, stress management, tobacco cessation techniques and self-control to counteract risk factors for drug abuse relevant to older teens.

Keeping Safe From HIV is our HIV prevention curriculum for students in grades 7-12 (to be presented once in grades 7-8 and once in grades 9-12). It is an interactive, student-focused curriculum which satisfies all requirements for HIV prevention outlined in California Education Code 51934, the standards for effective HIV-prevention curricula, and also addresses seven of the standards described in the 2004 Science Framework for California Public Schools.
