To provide high quality differentiated learning opportunities that meet the gifted and talented students’ particular abilities and talents with the emphasis on the social and emotional needs of gifted students. 

 

In Montebello’s GATE Program, teachers have the opportunity to receive a GATE Certificate of professional development training to address the need of MUSD's gifted students.

In a partnership with the University of California, Irvine, UCI will provide focused professional development sessions; individual courses; and entire certificate programs, aligned with CAG, NAGC and state standards for excellence, but uniquely tailored to the demographics and circumstances inherent to each environment being served. UCI will provide programming that is interdisciplinary and that incorporates theoretical and pedagogical themes appropriate for any teacher committed to curricular differentiation to reach all students.
