Safe Schools/Healthy Students

The Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative is a discretionary grant program that provides students, schools, and communities with federal funding to implement an enhanced, coordinated, comprehensive plan of activities, programs, and services that focus on promoting healthy childhood development and preventing violence and alcohol and other drug abuse.

 

MONTEBELLO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFERS

FREE TRANSPORTATION TO SUMMER SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

The Montebello Unified School District is proud to announce school bus transportation to and from summer school for high school students. The District takes pride in providing access to summer school courses for all high school students.  The summer transportation program will begin on June 20, 2016 and continues through July 15, 2016.

Superintendent Susanna Contreras Smith announced, “We are incredibly pleased to offer this service for our students. Ensuring safe and easy access to and from class year round is essential.”

School Board President, Ben Cárdenas stated, “Year round access is critical. The school board is committed to ensuring safe and accessible transportation for all of our students year round. We are proud to provide this important service.”
