Seal of Biliteracy

The California State Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction in recognition of attained proficiency in English and at least one other world language by high school graduation.

Multilingualism strengthens intergroup relationships, affirms the value of diversity, promotes civic participation and honors the cultures of our community. By recognizing this knowledge base, our district can establish high standards for academic mastery, there by strengthening skills of literacy and problem solving.

Appearing on the transcript of the graduating senior, the State Seal of Biliteracy is a verification of linguistic proficiencies.
