DOES RESEARCH SUPPORT THIS PROGRAM?
Multiple studies have demonstrated that dual language students [Spanish & English speakers] tend to perform as well or better on English standardized tests than students enrolled in monolingual English or Transitional Bilingual Education Programs (See Cazaban, Nicoladis and Lambert, 1998; Lindholm-Leary and Block, 2010).
Follow up studies have found that parents are very satisfied with dual language programs and the advantages that they saw that their programs provided to their children (Lindholm-Leary and Block, 2011).
