AVID

AVID trains educators to use proven practices in order to prepare students for success in high school, college, and a career, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education.

Extended Learning Opportunity (E.L.O.)

E.L.O. is a carefully designed learning program that supports all three of the authorized purposes of the 21st CCLC/ASES program and directly addresses identified needs of the target population. It offers students and families a free daily after school program; daily academic support; engaging literacy, technology, and arts enrichment experiences; other high interest enrichment opportunities; and tutoring.

Gifted & Talented Education Program (GATE)

Montebello USD provides curriculum that is challenging and allows continuous progress; developing social and emotional skills; training for teachers and administrators in the education of gifted learners; providing counseling and support for gifted students who are at-risk; and involving parents in the planning and evaluation of GATE programs. A written plan defining how the district will meet the needs of gifted students as articulated in the state GATE standards.

INDUCTION - Montebello Teacher Induction Program

New Teacher induction is a program of weekly on-the-job mentoring for new teachers from an accomplished, well-prepared peer. It results in remarkably effective new teachers, increased overall teacher retention, improved student achievement and reduced district teacher recruiting costs.

Regional Occupational Program (ROP)

Regional Occupational Program delivers quality career training and prepares all students to achieve personal and academic success in the future. We are an essential part of the educational system, focusing on global needs and innovation. Our students are employable and able to adapt to changing work environments for a lifetime of learning.
